I think what you want (if you haven't already tried this is)
is to target your camera at a null object then move that null object
from one object to another as your camera flies through.
Say I wanted my cammera to move in towards a set of bowling
pins for example. Say I also want the camera to first target the
front most pin at the start. Then when the camera moves thru and past
the first pin I want want it to look at the farther most corner pin
(who happens to be drinking a bud) (if I made a living being a
bowling pin I would drink on the job too). I order to accomplish this
shot I would....
Create a null object.
Then parent the camera to the null
Move the null to a position within the frontmost pin
This would give the same effect as simply targeting the front
pin
Then I would create a key for the null object at frame 0 and
at the frame where the camera first passes the frontmost pin.
I then would move forward a hand full of frames... 30, 60, 90
frames, what ever looks right... and then move the null object to a
position within the the pin that is drinking the bud.
Creat a Key frame here.
Play the anim a couple of times and adjust key frame and poistions as
needed.
usally this combination of having a flying camera and a flying null
object solves a lot the problems you sound like you are having right
now.
hope I helped..............NORV-MAN
